This Luxe Pottery’s Japanese-inspired yellow Raku vase radiates modern sophistication and elegance. Remarkably lightweight—“as light as a feather”—it is nevertheless extremely challenging to produce.
The black patterning is formed by placing strands of horsehair onto the vase while it is under intense heat. This dramatic process creates distinctive markings that appear to rise from the surface.
The vase features a voluminous rounded body that narrows into a slender neck with a slightly flared rim. Its silhouette resembles a gourd or large droplet, with an asymmetrical belly that conveys natural fluidity.
The surface displays a striking two-tone finish: warm golden yellow on one side that softly transitions into a pale creamy white on the other.
